- Reception Intake 2022
Welcome to our information page for families looking for a Reception place for their little one for September 2022!
We are delighted that you are looking at joining the Charleton family and we would like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to the Learning Academy Partnership. We look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure that your child has the best possible start to their primary education.
We believe that choosing your child’s first school is a hugely important decision, setting them on the path of a wonderful learning journey and onto future success. At Charleton C of E Academy, we do everything we can to ensure our families are fully informed about the journey ahead; the curriculum that will be taught, the approach to teaching in the Foundation Stage, as well as the practical arrangements of starting school.
Normally at this point in the year, we are gearing up to welcome our new families into our academy to look around our Reception class, the rest of the academy, meet our team and learn more about our unique offer here at Charleton. However given the current COVID-19 restrictions, we have tweaked how we are able to do this to ensure you are able to get to know us and the school, whilst also safeguarding the health and wellbeing of your family and our school community. If you would like to book a tour or have a virtual meeting with Miss Coombe (Head of Academy) or Miss Kingston (Hub EYFS Lead), please get in touch! We love to share everything our wonderful school has to offer!
In order to comply with current regulations, we are not able to offer school visits or tours. However, we are able to conduct a virtual tour with Miss Coombe our Head of Academy and Miss Kingston our Hub EYFS Lead. If you would like a virtual tour, then please contact the school office on 01548 312289.
Please also visit other pages on our website, our Twitter page @CharletonLAP or our new Facebook page to find out more about our fabulous academy; we work extremely hard to keep everything up to date, sharing all of the fabulous learning that takes place each term.
Remember, if you have any questions or queries, no matter how small they may seem, please feel free to contact the academy office on 01548 312289 and ask to speak to Miss Coombe (Head of Academy) and they will be able to help.
Starting school can be a big transition for many children (and parents too). Reading and sharing stories with your child can make such a massive difference.
Here are just some of the many starting school stories you could share together:
Remember, if you do not have copies of the books, then it is really easy to find ‘read alouds’ on YouTube.
